Evaluation Adherence of Candida Albicans on Polymethacrylate in Probiotics Soloution
Authors
Abstract:
Background: The common cause of stomtitis is the oral dandruff of candida albicans in the Microbial flora of the oral cavity of healthy young people. The base of acrylic dentures is usually made of the polymethacrilate resin. The various factors make it possible for the cavonisusion candida to be cooled in to these materials, which there are various protocols to prevent this. The probiotics may be among these factors. Methods: In this study, discs of acrylic resins in different groups after exposure to Candida albicans were exposed to are solution including a probiotic bacteria L-rhamnosus GG ,a solution containing probiotic K12 streptococcus salivarius a sodium hypochlorite , nystatin solution, normal saline, then the number of candida albicans was counted and their comparison was made Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA. Results: The results showed a significant decrease (p<0/001) in the number of C.adbicans in discriples in probiotic solution to normal saline solations. Also, the lowest number of C.adbicans sticking to discs plates in a solution Containing nystatin and sodium hypochlorite has been Conclusion: According to the results of this study, probiotic Solutions can be used to reduce the number of C.alhicans adhearing to the removable denture base.

Portrait of Candida albicans Adherence Regulators
Cell-substrate adherence is a fundamental property of microorganisms that enables them to exist in biofilms. Our study focuses on adherence of the fungal pathogen Candida albicans to one substrate, silicone, that is relevant to device-associated infection. We conducted a mutant screen with a quantitative flow-cell assay to identify thirty transcription factors that are required for adherence. W...
full textHwp1 gene Expression of Candida albicans and Study its role in adherence
Candida albicans is an opportunistic fungal pathogen found as mycoflora in the human body surfaces. Sevral genes play a crucial rule in its virulence including Hwp1 (hyphal wall protein 1), BCR1 and ALS gene family. Hwp1 gene is a responsible for coding a cell surface protein, which mediates biofilm formation in candida albicans. Here we investigated the presence of the HWP1gene was characteris...

Introduction: Candida albicans is one of the most common causes of vaginitis and one of the most important reasons for women to visit health centers. The aim of this study was to determine Candida albicans infection and its related factors in women in Kazerun. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed in 2017 on 150 samples extracted from the laboratory. Swab specimens were prepared fr...

Adherence of 14C-glucose labeled Candida albicans to vaginal epithelial cells was measured in the presence of 10 potential inhibitory sugars at concentrations of 5 to 150 mg per ml for 90 minutes at 37 degrees C. In competitive inhibition experiments, no inhibition of adherence was seen with any sugar at any concentration. On the contrary, with the exception of the aminosugars glucosamine, gala...
